Sunny Day at the Park

 
David had a lot of fun and I got a lot done around the house these last two days. Grandma Jan came up to play with David, and helped me out to boot. We took a rbeak to enjoy the sunshine, David had fun walking around and playing peek-a-boo through all the nooks and crannies :)
 
 
 

First Haircut... lots of momma weeping went into this decision.

Okay! we did it... David got his first haircut, bless the salon they gave us a lock of his hair a certificate for his baby book- I am pretty sure this is to keep mom's everywhere from running out with their kids screaming "never!!!"

So... okay it was not quite that traumatic for me once we got there, but David kinda wished I had held out a while longer.




It took 2 packs of gummi fruit snacks to console him just barely enough to get the job done, and with the amount of crying I am pretty sure that the very nice and agreeable gal earned the $12 they charge to take off a quarter inch of baby hair.

Once she got it cut... after letting him take the comb (she had a backup) she added a little gel to spike it up on top, and boy there is nothing cuter :)

We went to the zoo again later on that day, and I think he forgave us for the early morning torture.

I find myself thinking, quite frequently that there just can't be a baby cuter than mine.

 

 

 

Zoo!

 

So we went to the zoo, and had a lovely afternoon :) David toddled around while holding our hands and found the beluga whales and walruses very exciting! just stood by the glass watching those sea giants swimming round and round... kept trying to touch them when they came close to the glass. It was gosh darn cute :)

Christmas at home

 

Hey Everyone! Sorry about the giant gap in blogs.. life has been keeping us busy... I am going to try to get a few more pics up from Christmas then head on to all the 2009 fun! Davids birthday is fast approaching and I am excited for all the new milestones headed our way. David has been learning to feed himself with a spoon and has taken a few steps all on his own! I have a feeling that this year is going to be quite and adventure! We love all of you who check in here even when I am lax in posting:)

Christmas at the Stiltz house

Hey ya'll! I am finally getting around to finishing up the Christmas blogs :) I think we managed to have 5 Christmases when it was all said and done... so keep checking back, as I am sure I still have photos to take off the camera too! Happy New Year everyone, lets see what 2009 wil bring us.
