Summer turns to fall...

Well folks, Jonathan says that it is good when I am WAY behind in my scrapbooking cause it means we are having too much fun to sit around documenting the good times... I hope thats true for my blog as well.
We have had ALL sorts of fun since the last post, and I am sorry I haven't been sharing any of it with you. But here I am again, prepared to post quite a few photos to fill in the gaps caused by my lackluster writing skills.
We have been camping at Wallace Falls, had our cedar trees cut down, spent lots of time at parks, hung out with friends, been to the zoo (several times!), found out David is going to be a big brother to a SISTER, got David and "big boy bed", Painted Lynn's room purple and lavender, and welcomed fall with a "cousin's day" at an apple orchard. Jealous? you should be. we are having the times of our lives! Oh and David is talking up a storm when he isn't feeling too shy, he can count to 4 very well and makes up a few numbers after that, and knows quite a few of the letters of the alphabet, his favorite is "I".
Most of my readers (if not all) are close enough to keep tabs on us anyway, but I still like to get you a post now and again... especially to share the pictures :)

We had a LOT of fun at the cider squeeze, even though the line was too long to actually have cider pressed, David enjoyed picking up fallen apples and wandering around the orchard :)



We went to the Puyallup Fair with a friend, and the kids had quite a lot of fun and Beth and I had a good time talking :)



Lynn's Room, and purple and pretty! Thanks to Teresa for helping me organize and clean, and my mom and sister for helping me paint!


We went with a friend to the Circus in Everette, David LOVED it... in fact, the 3 adults hanging out with him were pretty impressed too!




Jonathan and I spent our 6th wedding anniversary kayaking on the sound and enjoying a delicious dinner at Europa Bistro!


David's favorite things at the zoo are the tigers (there are cubs right now!) and the clown fish... and the Dory look alike :)

Sunshine at the Park!

Playing in the park is one of David's favorite things to do! He also loves playing with the hose and sprinkler in the back yard... but due to my concern for the camera I try to keep it away from water :)

Summer Fun :)

We have been having lots of fun enjoying family and sunshine this summer. First there was the Go Forth Celebration in Longview, followed by a great camping trip at Wallace Falls State Park.

A minor setback in the festivities included a 24 hour flu bug that hit David, Jan and Jonathan, plus some friends of our that came to join us in the fun, David was a trooper and seemed to have fun despite the bug, and when the fireworks ended, he said "more, more!"

The camping trip was tons of fun, David still had a cough, but he took his naps and slept well despite his less than ideal state. It was crazy hot, but the cabin we had was great and the river ice cold- which was fine with us! The hike was a hard one, but well worth the effort... the falls were stunning :)

The weather stuck around after we arrived home and David has enjoyed playing in the kiddie pools, with sidewalk chalk, and he learned how to spray us with the hose- which is both hilarious and annoying.

PS.... sorry about the lack of wallace falls photos, but I can't get them uploaded for some reason... I will keep trying though!

Laura and Reuben Powers

Bachelorette Party!

Laura's Bachelorette party was a smashing success- kudos to Teresa for some awesome planning!

So we had a lot of fun on her "last hurrah"

and she shared him with the rest of us ;)





So we got all dressed up and went for pizza a bowling- lots of fun!
Afterwards it was back to Laura's empty apartment for more fun and games... not to mention Daiquiri's! Laura dissed Brian and embraced forever her new man- Reuben.
