Dear God,

Thank you for blessing us with this precious child, guide us and help us to raise her in your will- to love you, trust you and put you first in her life. Help us to model this behavior so that she will see that You are good. Thank you for your perfect love!
Amen

A New Skill....

There is a gal in my MOPS group that invited any one who was interested to her home to learn how to make adorable flower headbands. I jumped on the chance, brought Lynn's Easter dress with me to be sure I got one that would match, and prepared to have fun. And it was a blast! I got to learn how to make these oh so adorable hairflowers and spend time with a few gals from MOPS that I didn't previously know very well. I have a feeling I will be hitting the craft store for supplies to make a lot more in the near future! Lynn seemed to enjoy being the center of attention with her pretty flower and was quite content to let me take a few photos to showcase one of the four flowers I made :)
God Bless!

Friday

Today we dragged all the track from David's room to the dining table to make a really big train track. It was fun not bending over under his bed and being constrained by his train table- we had so much space we built a super duper train track! I had a little fun with the camera and he insisted I take a picture of Levi, so I thought I would share that with you too! Happy Friday all :)

A Rainy day Adventure

Hello friends :) as I am sure you have noticed its been raining a great deal, and David has been shut up in the house with Lynn and me, and since Lynn is so little- we have been avoiding spending time outside in the cold. Jonathan is out of town this week and Teresa came up to visit, since I had the extra hands we decided to get out of the house and do something fun and indoors. The Children's Museum of Tacoma seemed just the ticket, we packed a lunch, filled the diaper bag and loaded the kids and ourselves into the car and headed to Tacoma! What a fun place it is... there was a play garden where you could pick fruit and take it to the farmers market or load it into a truck to be shipped to the grocery store. There was a little workshop and a place to read, and art room and a climbing wall. We spent quite a lot of time with one particular attraction, they had a large magnetic wall with a long tube that pulled small foam balls up... and pvc pipe the had strong magnets that you could rearrange to make the balls follow a diferent path down, David, Teresa and I all had a wonderful time! There was a small ball pit that David thouroughly enjoyed and at the end we made it to the art room (next time we will start there) where David painted and we all made some block heads :) It was a fun and relaxing adventure- and we were all glad to be out of the house!
I can't wait to go back :)
God Bless!

6 weeks old

Lynn is six weeks old and David is loving having a baby sister. If she gets her picture taken, he wants to be in it (most of the time) he helps sing her songs at nap time and bedtime and wants to have her in the room when we sing his bedtime songs. A few days ago, we caught him sitting next to her swing "reading" her a story. While we desperately wish for the day when we can get a full nights sleep we are loving the precious new addition to our family :)
God Bless :)

Thank you Train Chocolate

David got a really cool box of Chocolate trains in his Christmas stocking... today I was able to bribe him with the last piece to get him to do a mini photo shoot! I now have a cute picture of BOTH my kids!

Can't stop the Shutter...

A friend of mine who is skilled in infant (and wedding, and family) photography took me under her wing and showed me several tips and how to set up my camera to take good baby pictures... these are some of the results :)
We had fun just clicking away with Lynn as the focus and even David was willing to be in some photos provided he got to be with his baby Lynn!

Happy Birthday!

Little Lynn joined the family on November 30th, 2010 at 7:48am, weighing in at an even 7 pounds she is 19 inches long and absolutely adorable. She is so tiny- David looks enourmous by comparison. Tonia had a rough first day, the surgery making her sick and very tired, but felt much better later in the evening and quite well on day 2- overall feeling much less pain than she did with David. David adores his little sister and frequently insists on holding her and will willingly consent to have his picture taken if she is going to be in it with him! More photos to come!
God Bless :)
