Memorial Day

We had a wonderful trip this Memorial Day, despite the difficulty growing flowers and the predictions of rain the day turned out wonderfully. We enjoyed breakfast at Stuffy's and shared a gargantuan cinnamon roll in honor of my birthday. Then we prepared to head out, once David was fed he was ready for his first trip to Oregon. he handled the drive wonderfully, sleeping most of the time and eating at rest stops. Once we arrived at the cemetary, the sun was shining and we were in a good mood :) I fed David once more while everyone else prepared the flowers then I strapped him on my chest and we made the rounds, at the second cemetery we just held him because there was less walking involved. Hopefully I will soon get photos from Laura and Teresa because they were the ones taking photos while I held David. After Lunch at Murphy's grill we started the trip home... and at the rest stop we split into different groups- guys in one car and girls in another- we were going shopping! While our intent was to look for a wedding dress for Aunt Linda, we didn't have much luck as most shops required appointments, we did manage to figure out what to do with her hair and do some other general clothes shopping as well. We enjoyed dinner at the Olive garden and finally got the rain and enjoyed a rainbow and beautiful sunset on the drive home.
