Wigs for Kids
My new "do"!

I decided it was finally time to change my hairstyle a bit. While doing so I made a 12" contribution to Wigs for Kids, an organization that makes wigs and gives them to children who have lost their hair due to various medical conditions such as loss from radiation or chemo and alopecia. Here is the before and after photos, the one int hte middle is my hairstylist and me holding the cuit off ponytails. We had to make 2 beacause my hair is too thick to cut straight through.
We went to see "Camelot" at the 5th Ave Theatre last night, it was a lot of fun to go out with my new hairstyle :)
Happy Easter Everyone!
For He has Risen and saved us from our sins and welcomes us to the Fathers House!

Home Renovation; Part 1
The Painting started with the bathroom, but first I had to texture the walls, so that it matched the rest of the house... Let me tell you there are good user friendly textures and then there are evil mean textures. Unfortunatly my lack of knowledge in this area caused me to choose the wrong one. It took three days and 3 cans of texture to finish our bathroom. Never again will I use the evil orange peel texture!
I had to tape over everything to keep it safe from texture and paint, it made the bathroom a bit awkward.
Dan is the first to put paint on the walls! Gone is the floral print and with a warm neautral that will match any decor I desire. For now it will go with lighter tans and deep rust red.
Joy helps me tape of the kitchen, dining room and living room, since Dan doesn't want her to do a lot of painting while she is carrying the kids :) Next up, we paint the kitchn!

A Beach Story
We spent the day in and around Canon Beach, exploring the area in the same kind of weather that Lewis and Clark experienced when they first discovered the Pacific. It rained the entire day, only letting up for a minute. We enjoyed demonstrations at the glass blowers shop and found some lovely lace curtains for Grandma's house. We ate lunch at Canon beach and checked out the stormy waves. We also visited Fort Stevens to see the shipwreck and the jetty as well as Fort Clatsop.
Grandad and Granma were smart enough to watch the waves from a distance while Jonathan and I jumped out for a closer look. I ended up quite wet from head to toe and was very glad when we all got to eat dinner together in Astoria. It rained incessantly on the drive home and I am quite thankful that we got to go on our trip by way of motorcar and not on foot or even horseback. All in all I do believe that we all had a wonderful time, and I can't wait for another chance to visit with everyone!
Enjoy the rest of the photos!
Rain Wind and Waves!
We had quite the adventure at Canon Beach, the wind carried the tops of the waves away and whisked the sand down the shore...
Rainy Day at the Beach
Jonathan and Grandad at the Fort that Lewis and Clark Stayed in

Jonathan and I ran up to the jetty to check out the waves... we couldn't look at the ocean without the spray cutting our face!
We ended the evening at Baked Alaska, a restaraunt on the Astorian Waterfront, it was dry and warm and had great food!

I Left My Voice In Disneyland!
Hello Everybody!
I have just returned from the happiest place on earth, and am happy to announce that I loved it :)
The only drawback is that I think I left my voice in California and I don't know how long it will take it to hitchhike back here!
I loved ToonTown and all the rides... though I blame the rides for kidnapping my voice. I danced with Goofy and gave Mickey a hug :) I got soaking wet on the grizzly mountain ride at California adventures and watched in the evening fireworks in amazement! I saw a beautiful parade featuring lots of my favorite characters and loved the looks of excitement on all the kids faces :) I can't wait to go back with my kids someday! Jonathan thinks that we should let Laura or Teresa take them since he went with his Aunt Linda, but I really want to see their faces when they see it for the first time! but the aunts will be welcome to come along of course!!
Pictures will be coming soon, (my computer monitor is on the fritz so it might take a couple of days)
I am seeking all "magic cures" to getting my voice back as soon as possible, so if you know any...
That's all for now folks,
God Bless!

Far Far Away

Hello all!
Well most everyone knows that Jonathan has been helping out at World Vision International in California, so its just been me and Levi at the house during the week. Other than the husbandless-ness it has been pretty good. Levi and I continue to jog on days that its not freezing and raining at the same time and I think it is good for both of us. Jonathan and I went to a Valentines' day dinner and dance held at our Church on Friday the 16th, it was a lot of fun! The food was delicious and the dancing was very enjoyable. Jonathan and I were asked to provide the dance music so I filled my ipod with some fun and very danceable tunes and everyone seemed to enjoy our selections, inlcuding a special request; the Peppermist Twist, it was a lot of fun to see everyone participating.
Coming up VERY soon, I get to go to DISNEYLAND for the first time ever!!! Instead of Jonathan coming up here for the weekend I am going down there and we will have a lot of fun. Levi is going to be staying at "Hobodog Haven" we checked it out on Monday and I think he is going to have a lot of fun!
Levi and went down to Chris ans Jan's on Presidents day, and Levi played with "Uncle Wilson" for 2 hours outside in the mud, then we washed them both up and they continued to wrestle for a couple more hours. I don't knopw about Wilson, but Levi was all tuckered out! He slept all the way and then fell right backt o sleep on the bedroom floor, I didn't have the heart to wake him, so I just let him sleep there all night. He didn't get up till I was ready to go to work!
Grandma Ruth and Grandpa Larry came over for lunch and was able to give everyone an update on Jonathan's activities at WVI. It looks as if Jonathan will be doing one more week in addition to the next one. Hopefully I can have him back for good after that.
Well that's basically it, see you all soon (especially the Sew-Expo people)!
God Bless,
