Time to Ring in the New Year!

Well Everyone I am certainly looking forward to relaxing new years celbration, its looking like it will be a lot of fun.

To let all of you know how yesterday turned out: I started feeling better a couple hours after I got home (Thank you for the prayers) and Dan and Joy were able to come over for dinner, it all went quite well actually. Holly enjoyed meeting our geusts and was very cute. I did forget to put the meat into the spaghetti sauce which was disappointing for me, but I survived. We played poker and Joy ended up taking us for all we were worth.

Today Jonathan and I got to sleep in due to our benevolent bosses. Then we made delicious waffles on our new waffle iron and ate them with boysenberry syrup-yum!
We then went to Sears and purchased a chest freezer that will fit into our "garage". We also picked up a TV and surround sound system with a 5-disk dvd player- lots of fun there. Now were are in Longview planning all kind of fun! So I will give all the details of our New Year excitement on the morrow.
Good Evening all, and HAPPY NEW YEARS!!!

happy Holly in her clean cage Posted by Hello

Ah, Thursday... It was the best of Times, it was the Worst of Times

Well its finally Thursday, only it hasn't turned out as I expected so far...

I am happy to say that the house is clean enough for company and Dan and Joy are able to come over this evening, so I thought all was well. I got to work this morning and started in on my work, one of the ladies I work with was late cause she had to spend the night at the hospital last night (she is ok now) but it kept me from getting some of the paperwork I needed. I did get it, but then I was running late. I did get my report in just 9 minutes late, so all was well, though I was a bit backed up on other things. So I raced to get some of my times done, then I started to feel a little ill. Naturally that slowed me down a bit, I figured I was hungry and waited for lunch time to roll around. Finally it did, and I was mostly caught up! So ate and came back to work, It hadn't seemed to help... Jeanie brought me a pile of MO's to enter into the computer so I slowly waded through them, even though I just wanted to curl up an die. They are now done, so I just have to live through the last hour of work and hope that I feel better before I have to cancel my evening of friendship.

On a happier note, last night was a blast. I invented a casserole, which made a great supper, and Jonathan and I got the house cleaned and we went out to Starbucks for a coffee and game date. we played to rounds of mancala, which I am sorry to say Jonathan won. Despite that it was fun :) When we came home we watched myth busters with Holly and got a good nights sleep before today's catastrophe.

Well... hopefully I will come back and finish this on a happier note.

Or... So I got home after my boss let me leave a little early, only to find that Holly had tired of her cage and decided to throw in on the floor in order to explore the house unnassisted. wow.. so where to begin..
I found Holly, unharmed in body, maybe a little disturbed in Spirit. So after catching her I locked her in the bathroom where she can't move so fast due to the linoleum. Then I proceeded to clean up the horrendous mess in Holly's room. First I moved the furniture, next I removed the cage. Then I pulled out the vacuume and and had to empy it about 3 times. Then while doing some "fine tuning" in the small areas of the room I managed to suck up one of our little bubbles from a wedding. That is a bad thing. A very bad thing. The vacuume quit sucking. Which is also bad. So I called my dear husband Jonathan and he said not to worry about the vacuume. I am still worrying about the vacuume. GOOD NEWS somehow Jonathan got off a little early and is coming home to rescue me from insanity. YAY So no Holly is her clean (and upright) cage again. She happily washer her ears (which is really cute) and starting eating dinner. and investigating her cage... all while watching me type. So now I am going to make dinner, I will enlighten everyone on the rest of the evening tomorrow as I don't think today can really take anymore. God Bless

The Day Before our Weekly Get Together

Today is Wednesday, which means that tomorrow is Thursday. Now thursdays are special because we always have friends over to visit. We play games and watch TV and eat dinner. It's quite fun...tomorrow will be special because it will be Holly's first Thursday with us. So she will get to meet Dan and Joy and anyone else who may stop by. It also means that we will be cleaning house today... well continue cleaning anyways, it has been a little more involved since we arrived home from the Festival of Christmas. We are almost ready though... just some last minute stuff, like finding places for all of our new shiny things! I think tht I am going to make some garlic bread in my new Bread maker, which will probably be a big hit!

Work has been interesting today... lots to do in the accounting department (where I assist) as it is almost year end. So we have been scrambling around getting everything in. Today i had a lot to do but it went rather quickly because I have been working so quickly the last few days that I was in super entry mode and I got everything coded, entered, filed and shipped and even organized that needed it. Which is why I am now blogging from work instead of home! I leave in an hour and am not exactly sure what to do with the time. Although I am positive that some last minute bit of paperwork will find its way to me before I go.
Anyways, I will probably enter tomorrows blog later in order to tell all about our fun evening, or maybe save it for Friday.. we will see!
Bye for Now.

Now that Monday is over...

Yay! It is Tuesday, which is actually like Wednesday this week! I have Friday off so that Holly, my dear husband Jonathan and I can all have some fun together! Yesterday Holly had some carrots-yum! She likes those. Her favorite room in the house is the dining room, Holly loves to jump over the table legs and push on the mirror wall where her "window friend" lives.
We sat and watched an episode of Stargate last night, or rather I watched it and Holly explored the couch and sniffed my chin. I got her a new food dish that is much heavier and she can't throw around. Just to spite my she pushes it around the cage, to show off her super bunny strength. As long as she doesn't dump out her food I don't mind.

Today is cold up here in Renton, Jonathan and I both had to scrape the windows of our cars this morning to come to work, Holly is happy she can stay in where its warm, though she wants to explore the rest of the house today, right after us humans clean up the Christmas aftermath!
I have to go back to work now, so have a good day and Holly and I will share more of our adventures tomorrow!

Holly The Bunny Posted by Hello

Holly Posted by Hello

The First Day of the Rest of My Life

So, today I have given into peer pressure for the first time since I bought wide leg jeans (6 years ago), I got a blog. Why? Because I now have a bunny-rabbit! And as a proud pet owner I will want to relate all of her antics to anyone willing to listen. Of course I will keep all of my loyal listeners updated on the rest of my trivial life as well. So enjoy the ranting of a newly-wed and new pet owner.

When Holly and I arrived home last night she investigated her new home starteing with her cage. Once Jonathan and I finished unloading the Christmas goodies from the car Holly got to look around the rest of the place. She attempted to walk into the bathroom, but the linoleum proved a little to exciting so she slipped carefully back onto the carpet where it was safer. She thouroughly enjoyed the dining room and hopped around and under the table and chairs. After playtime she went back to her cage and decided to test the weight of her food dish... "too light!" she said as she dumped it over. Well, she liked the broccoli anyways.

Holly's official introduction:
Holly is a 3 month old Holland Lop, she is considered "sable point" which means that she has a sandy colored body with tanish-grey ears and nose and tale... almost like a siamese in the cat world. She is utterly adorable and ver easy-going. She enjoys sitting in your lap while watching television and exploring the condo. Pictures coming soon!
