Wigs for Kids

My new "do"!

I decided it was finally time to change my hairstyle a bit. While doing so I made a 12" contribution to Wigs for Kids, an organization that makes wigs and gives them to children who have lost their hair due to various medical conditions such as loss from radiation or chemo and alopecia. Here is the before and after photos, the one int hte middle is my hairstylist and me holding the cuit off ponytails. We had to make 2 beacause my hair is too thick to cut straight through.

We went to see "Camelot" at the 5th Ave Theatre last night, it was a lot of fun to go out with my new hairstyle :)

Happy Easter Everyone!

For He has Risen and saved us from our sins and welcomes us to the Fathers House!

God Bless!

Home Renovation; Part 1

The Painting started with the bathroom, but first I had to texture the walls, so that it matched the rest of the house... Let me tell you there are good user friendly textures and then there are evil mean textures. Unfortunatly my lack of knowledge in this area caused me to choose the wrong one. It took three days and 3 cans of texture to finish our bathroom. Never again will I use the evil orange peel texture!
I had to tape over everything to keep it safe from texture and paint, it made the bathroom a bit awkward.
Dan is the first to put paint on the walls! Gone is the floral print and with a warm neautral that will match any decor I desire. For now it will go with lighter tans and deep rust red.
Joy helps me tape of the kitchen, dining room and living room, since Dan doesn't want her to do a lot of painting while she is carrying the kids :) Next up, we paint the kitchn!
