The Blustery Day

Grrrr. The dumb blogger deleted my post before I saved it.
I really don't enjoy re-writing blogs. I feel less creative . Sigh.
~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~
So, Its really windy and the door keeps getting stuck open by the wind, whenever anyone come in or out.
Yesterday was rather unusual for us up here. Jonathan had a Columbia group dinner after work hosted at The Melting Pot, which is an upscale fondu joint. So my dear husband enjoyed a 3 course meal, while I, at home, ate leftover lasagna and talked to Holly.
We got a lot of cleaning done though. I got laundry, dishes, and avacuuming done. Holly is happy because she got to run around the house while her cage got all cleaned up.
I am looking forward to this weekend. as it is Easter we will be going down to Longview to spend time with Jonathan's family, it will be great to see everyone again.
As this is the 2nd time I have written this, or something like it I will sign off for now.
God Bless!
Saturday
Hello all, sorry I didn't blog yesterday.
Here is what has been going on.
Thursday was rather unusual for us. Due to its being St. Patricks day, nobody made it to our place and by the time we figured that out it was a little late to head to Seattle. We ate the lasagna ourselves and enjoyed it :)
We then decided that we should do something. So I hunted up some information and we headed to the Renton Library! I know that some of you might not believe it but it took me over 6 months to get to the Library here. I got a new library card, I now have quite the collection. And checked out a meaker pile of books. It was lots of fun and the librarian liked my sparkly green St. Patricks Day Nail polish.
Yesterday being Friday Night I decided we should get out and have some fun. So I hunted up some info on Roller Skating and Ice skating. We decided on Roller Skating since its cheaper.
It wa fun, but we were definately the oldest folk there. I think next time we will try ice skating.
Basiacally that it, I have finished 2 books from the library so far.
Holly says "hi" to everyone!
God Bless!
Happy St. Patrick's Day! Posted by Hello
Luck O' the Irish
Today is Saint Patrick's Day, If you didn't already know that then have probably been pinched by now!
Way back in the 5th century, a young lad was kidnapped from his English home by a band of Irish Renegades. They brought him to Ireland and he was sold as a slave. He worked as a shepherd for 6 years during which he turned to God for support. It is said that one day God told him it was time to leave Ireland and after a 200 mile walk he escaped back into England where he entered a monastery and God told him, after 15 years of study, to return to Ireland. He went with the Pope's blessing to encourage the few christians in Ireland and to win the rest of it for God. The Legends say that he used the Shamrock to Illistrate the Trinity and that in order to win the Irish over he adapted pagan art to Chistian beliefs, the celtic cross is one of them.
We celebrate the 17th of March because that is the day he died.
the original St. Patrick's Day Parade was actually in America with the influx of arriving irish Immigrants, it started out as a way for the Irish-American troops in the military to celebrate their heritage. It spread rapidly and now we run a round pinching each other if someone forgets to wear green!
So, have a blessed Day and don't forget yer green!
New Computer
Hello Everyone!
We are now the proud owners of an almost fully operational computer! That is to say the computer works beautifully, we just need to transfer all the data from the old one to the new one, so there is a lot that we cannot access. Once I re-install the program to upload pictures into the blog you will all get to see my pictures form the Grandma Theo/Aunt Linda Birthday bash! Lots of fun!
We will probably give the old tower to my brother to play with. He will either destroy it or make it work, with him you never know. But as they say, practice makes perfect; which is why I have no problem giving him broken things!
Work is going well. Jonathan's Hours are supposedly winding down to an almost normal pace, which is very good.
I have a sore throat and I hope it goes away without becoming anything else.
I had fun at my parents this last Saturday. Mom and I worked on our scrapbooks, then Jonathan came down and joined us for dinner. Daddy made deliciuos BBQed Steaks! :)
Basically that is it. Thursday is once again coming up, bringing St. Patricks day with it. Don't forget your green! There is a chance that my friend Savanna will be here this Thursday as she is visiting from Italy!
God Bless!
Saturday and Spiderman
Yo.
Jonathan and I are visiting Laura tonight and she is kind enought to allow me to use her computer to blog. I was bored of my cute little home so we came to Seattle to have some fun and watched Spiderman 2 with Laura and Bonnie. Fun Fun.
Good news, we went to Sears to deal with our despondant DVD player and once they order a new one they are willing to exchange it!! I also got several new thing to wear to work. Happiness. Jonathan got some new work shoes and I got some dress shoes for the multiple weddings I will be in this summer :) yay for cute shoes!
Anyway I will continue to attempt to keep you all informed when I have the opportunity to use a computer.
That is all I guess.
God Bless!
One day My PC will come...
Hi all.
Our computer is still not working... So I am sending a quick hello from work. "Hello"
Jonathan is looking forward to the end of the month, once we reach April the official "busy season" will be over YAY!!
Apparently Kerry has a temporary freeze on hiring any new employees so I will be a "Temp" for an undetermined amount of time. Sigh.
the sun is pretty and I just want to go play outside, but once again, sigh.
Holly is looking forward to summer too, once it is warm enough she is going to get to move her cage to the deck where she can get fresh air! The study will be less crowded and no more bunny dust and fur floating around the room. Of course she will still visit us in the house a lot, she loves to explore while I am cleaning and cooking. And I enjoy watching her while I work. Provided that my leather jacket is out of reach :)
Well I must continue work!
God Bless.
